Stowmarket Carnival is a wonderful family event, providing affordable fun and entertainment for local families. This year the Procession theme is Musicals and we cannot wait to see the floats.
Visiting the Carnival will still be FREE!
. . . whether you are lining the streets to cheer on the Procession, visiting the Rec to listen to the music and view the wonderful sideshows, or attending the Classic Car Show. No admission charge!
But our volunteers will be out and about with the red Carnival donation buckets, and your donation will be a small but mighty step towards next year’s Carnival!
Looking forward to Stowmarket Carnival 2026
Stowmarket Carnival is a wonderful family event, providing affordable fun and entertainment for local families.
Main events take place on the town’s Kings Meadow Recreation Ground (the Rec) Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, with a host of entertainments.
Getting us off to a great start is the wonderful Carnival Bandeoke on Friday evening, while for the more active why not join the Striders on their Carnival Trail Run first!
On Saturday we have our much loved Carnival Procession through the town, led by the Carnival Court, with floats, vehicles, walkers, dancers, singers, and fancy dress galore.
2026’s theme is Musicalsl! And we always see some amazing costumes as the Procession wends its way through Stowmarket.
On the Rec there is music on stage, and acts in the arena, together with a a range of sideshows. While around the grounds there are craft, home bake, small business, and charity stalls, and plenty of food and drink stalls too.

What's On?
From Friday evening till Sunday afternoon, the Recreation Ground (the Rec) features a variety of music acts and sideshows and displays, a range of craft and charity stalls, and plenty of food and drink stalls too. And the ever-popular Stocks Funfair will also be on the Rec for Carnival weekend.
